How to apply for [AH] Membership

You must be referred by an [AH] Officer to apply
Membership is invitation only


The Animal House Guide/ Community strongly believe in the "Open Door Policy" when it comes to new members. However, we equally value friendship and want members who will be active with the [AH] community on both the forums and all of the game servers. If the applicant does not want to log on the AH forums once in awhile, this community might not be the best fit for them.

Basic requirements: At least 5 post on the AH forums—one of those post must be an introduction post.
Applicants without an introduction post or if their application post is their first post on the AH forums will not be accepted.
We generally do not accept applicants under the age of 18 unless you have proven to be mature and involved in the community.

Process

Step One: Applications must sponsored by an Officer or Owner as listed on this page. Applications without the support of an officer will be rejected. Active AH members may sponsor applications as long as they have spoken to an AH Officer about it and the Officer's name appears on the application form along with the AH member who sponsors the member.
Step Two: Applicants must fill out the entire application form. Failure to completely fill out the form with the correct information will result in a locked membership thread.

Step Three: Community feedback and community vote *most important step*on the applicants membership thread.
Step Four: Final decision made by the officers after discussion. The process may take several days, so be patient
Step Five: Once a final decision is made, the applicant would be sent a PM via AH forums or Steam Message informing them that their membership was approved and they are all good to tag up with the [AH] tags.

Feedback

Feedback from the community is the most critical and important part regarding [AH] membership. It is even more important than what the Admins/Officers of animal house think. We are a community, and thus we value what the members of our community have to say.

Key points to consider include: are they a friendly player, do they use their mic, are they a team player, do they play on more than just the Dustbowl Server and will they be an active player in both the AH. Just playing everyday on the AH servers is NOT enough, they must be active with the community—visiting the AH forums.
They don't have to be a good player, but they need to be willing to develop their skills on the AH servers by being active and learning from the stronger players—it’s how most of us reached the level we are at today.

Bonus traits AH are looking for but not required:
- Willingness to participate in competitive TF2 and take part in scrim matches.
- Spends time with the members on TeamSpeak3 (its where all the fun is at)
- Overall team-player in the way that they are willing to change to any class if their team needs that class, rather than complain about it and continue playing ‘their’ class of choice

If for any reason you are not comfortable posting your feedback about the nominated player in the nomination thread, or you simply wish to expound on your posted comments in more detail privately, you are welcome to send either XLR8/ Rocket III or any other AH Officers a message (PM) with your comments. PM's sent to XLR8/ Rocket III or any other AH Officers are private and will NEVER be disclosed and thus remain private.
